The sheer selection of fish tanks available on the market today can be daunting which is why it is so important to understand the different varieties. Ultimately the type of tank is dependent upon your personal preference although it is worth bearing in mind that for the least maintenance large traditional fish tanks with their large surface areas can be the best option. This could be personal preference but differences include glass being harder to scratch, acrylic tanks can become a little misty over time. Glass however is considerably heavier and can shatter under impact.

if you follow this course of action make sure that the seals are in a good state of repair and that it does not leak. Buying new however is recommended to ensure that you are getting a working tank.
